Some items may be more difficult to dispute or require multiple attempts. Credit bureaus have 30–45 days to respond to each dispute, and certain items may need additional verification. This is completely normal and part of the process.

Items cannot come back as long as the item is current or paid at the time of removal or if the collection is older than three years. This holds true except in very rare circumstances.

Most negative accounts fall off after 7 years. Bankruptcies and certain public records may remain longer. However, active credit repair can often accelerate removal when accounts are inaccurate or improperly reported.
